- A center snaps a ball from the pile into play.
- A running back carries it down the field to the end zone.
- The touchdown pays cash, and points toward your next level.
- A ball boy throws the dead ball back to the line so it can be snapped again.
From High School on, quarterbacks and wide receivers add a passing game on top: the quarterback winds up and throws to a receiver waiting downfield.
The twist
The wrong purchase does nothing.
Because the offense is a chain, it can only move as fast as its slowest link. If every football is lying in the end zone, a tenth running back just stands at the line. If your backs are waiting on snaps, more footballs will not help.
You can see it on the field: players standing idle, balls piling up in one place. Each card in the shop says what that hire would add right now, so you are never guessing. In other idle games you buy the cheapest thing. Here you buy the thing that unblocks the chain.
